In 2016 Ukraine secured following leading positions worldwide:

• 1st exporter of sunflower oil(4 million tons);
• 3rd exporter of barley (4.5 million tons);
• 4th exporter of maize (15.5 million tons);
• 6th exporter of wheat(15.5 million tons);
• 7th exporter of soybean(2.1 million tons);

"In the current marketing year forecast of world grain trade is 286 million tons. A significant part will be owned by Ukraine, which will retain its leading position in the international grain market. In general, it is predicted that we will enter the top 5 leading world exporters of grain. As for the main importer of grain, East Asia, plans to purchase 60 million tons, the Middle East - 40 million tons, North Africa - 33 million tons. The markets of these regions are very attractive to us, and we will develop the cooperation with them. Today the foreign markets with Ukraine have been delivered 2.3 million tons of grain, of which 1.1 million tonnes - in August, which is twice more than in the corresponding month last year. In addition, in the near future will be posted on the export of grain, which is now loaded on ships and in ports is, a total of about 1.7 million tons.
